I’ve been smoking cigars since April 1992 and enjoying Whisk(e)y since 2002. In 2017, however, I came across a pairing that opened my eyes to the world of cigar pairings and thus my journey. Because of this new-found world, I began on a journey to learn all I could about Cigars, Whisk(e)y, and wines, and because of my history of collecting certifications in the IT world, I started with getting my Bourbon Steward. With my first non-IT certification under my belt, I knew I was hooked and began studying for my IACS Cigar Sommelier, WSET Spirit Sommelier, and Wine Sommelier, having already achieved 2 of the three by mid-2022.  Along this journey, my partners and I formed a company and podcast that teaches others how to pair cigars with all spirits, wine, coffee, tea, beer, and food. Joining the team here at WBSE as a writer is another milestone on my pairing journey, a journey that has no end in sight.
