The owner-selected Trilogy Collection extends the company’s progressive barrel maturation practices with three new expressions, and gives enthusiasts a new, distinctively different offering created by Giraldo, in partnership with WBSE’S RICKHOUSE (https://shop.wbserickhouse.com/) founders Bill Varnell and Chad Cadden.
The Trilogy Collection presents three bourbons which can be purchased individually or as a trifecta, including the Double Oak Finish, the Toasted Barrel and the Cherry Bounce. It is a first-time collaboration between WBSE Rickhouse and Three Chord Bourbon, and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis between now and December 31st, 2022 exclusively through WBSE Rickhouse.
Owner Giraldo selected the barrels and worked closely with Varnell and Cadden to create the Trilogy, a must-have for bourbon fans and music fans alike. “We base our bourbon blending decisions on three principles very similar to those followed when creating music,” said Giraldo. “In the artistry of each expression, there is a melody, a rhythm and a harmony, and we believe we have found the perfect complements in this Trilogy collection.”

What is cherry Bounce? For generations, Michigan cherry farmers have been filling Mason jars with tart cherries, sugar, spices and some type of alcohol, most recently, whiskey. First the cherries float. But during maceration, they become soaked with liquid and sink. After a few months, the cherries begin to float again, having bounced off the bottom of the jar. This wonder phenomenon coincides perfectly with the holiday season. The cherries are then pressed to expel the liquid and separate the solids. The cherry infused whiskey is then barreled for several more weeks in recently used bourbon and rye casks. These empty casks are then used to mature a cask strength bourbon, which yields a wonderful elixir.
